Courtroom Playback:
Presentation of your recorded deposition in Court
can be accomplished is one of two ways:
-
Individual depositions can be played directly before Judge and
Jury using multiple video monitors. A large 27" monitor is
stationed for optimal viewing by the Jury. A small 5-9" monitor
is positioned on the Judge's bench for his viewing. Additional
13" monitors are added to allow those seated at Counsel tables
to watch as well. The video operator's station includes a VCR,
small monitor with headphones, distribution amplifier, and
audio/video cutoff switch to prevent the Jury from viewing
portions ordered by the Court to be omitted. When desired, and
when circumstances permit, a video projection system may be
employed in place of, or in addition to, the multiple monitors.
-
In
larger, more complex cases, it is sometimes desirable to
incorporate your video directly into
trial presentation
software such as Trial Director® or
Sanction®. In such cases, video, the synchronized transcript,
exhibits and other demonstrative evidence can be presented at
the touch of a key on a laptop, or with the wave of a barcode
reading wand. When using trial presentation software, the images
may be shown on multiple monitors, or projected onto a large
screen. Many Courtrooms today are equipped with such equipment.
Many more are not, and this equipment will be provided and set
up by Richmond Legal Video, Inc. personnel.
