Why Richmond Legal Video?

The name was chosen to honor Pvt. John Richmond who served with the 128th New York Volunteer Infantry, Co. B, during the American Civil War. Pvt. Richmond was the Great-Great-Great Grandfather of Richmond Legal Video's founder and President, Michael S. Bennett. Pvt. Richmond survived the war and returned home to New York to start a family in Beacon (then Matteawan), NY. Due to illness contracted during his service, however, John Richmond suffered poor health for the remainder of his life and died at the age of 48. His descendants, and his name, continue. And we honor his memory.
